Essentially when it comes to playing pocker at home, such things can be done with just the simple things, playing cards, a few friends and of course some money. www.pacificpoker.com
This limits you to only playing cash games however, if you wish to play pocker in a more tournament based format then other equipment is necessary. Specifically for home games and due to my liking of tournament style games, I have a set of pocker chips which can be acquired at a reasonable price. These usually include, felt to spread across a table, 1 or more packs of playing cards, sets of game rules, and of course pocker chips of differing denominations. With these items alone, anyone can arrange a home pocker game amongst friends or family.
If instead you wish to play pocker from home online, then of course none of these things would be needed, it then becomes a case of preference rather than necessity. Provided the player has a computer and an internet connection, and is familiar with downloading then the rest is easy. Personally though I need a little more to play comfortably, although these are entirely optional. Headphones and music I find helpful, the same goes for having the facilities to make a coffee or food nearby too, especially if I am involved in a large multi table pocker tournament that could last a few hours.
So playing pocker from home needn’t be difficult whether your preference is live games against friends and family, or online. If you have a passion for playing pocker, or even just a passing interest, with a few friends and some playing cards or an internet connection and a computer, setting up a game is easy. www.pacificpoker.com
